Ruse reaches Korea Open quarterfinals, rises to WTA No. 62

Ruse reached the Korea Open quarterfinals, where WTA No. 69 Anna Bondar beat her 6-4, 1-6, 6-2. She had dropped three games to Eva Lys, then recovered from a set down against WTA No. 180 Yeonwoo Ku, taking the second set 7-6(1). The September 29 list has Ruse at WTA No. 62, up from 65 on September 21 and one place off her best recorded ranking, first reached in April. The China Open comes next.
