Dominic Stricker

Half of 2026 passed without a Dominic Stricker match on record; his season finally opened Monday at the Swiss Open Gstaad, and it opened with a top-50 win. The 23-year-old beat ATP No. 44 Jaume Munar 6-2 6-4, striking seven aces, winning 71% of first-serve points and converting 5 of 7 break points — Munar held serve just four times in nine games. The round-of-32 win lands where the ranking arc needs it: at ATP No. 360, Stricker sits 122 spots below a year ago and well off his career-high No. 88, first reached in October 2023.
