Coleman Wong defeated Adolfo Daniel Vallejo 7(7)-6(2), 4-6, 6-3 — Hangzhou Open 2026 R16.

Coleman Wong and Adolfo Daniel Vallejo: Coleman Wong leads 1–0 across 1 recorded meeting.

Coleman Wong is into the Hangzhou Open quarterfinals after beating fifth seed Adolfo Daniel Vallejo 7-6(2) 4-6 6-3 in two hours and 25 minutes. The 22-year-old from Hong Kong entered at ATP No. 108 against Vallejo's No. 58, though the bet365 market had favored him at 62 percent. The two had no prior meetings on record. Neither serve gave much away. Each player held 14 of his 15 service games, and the opening set passed without a break point for either man before Wong won the tiebreak. He finished with 17 aces to Vallejo's four. Breaks were rare, and the chances mostly went begging. Wong reached 11 break points and converted one. Vallejo, who started the season at ATP No. 143 and has climbed to a season-best No. 58, had only two break points all match, both in the second set; one produced the break in game nine for 5-4, and the Paraguayan closed the set out in the next game. Wong had let five break points slip in that set alone. Wong's lone conversion came in game four of the decider, a break for 3-1, and Vallejo did not earn a break point in the set. He saved two match points before Wong closed it out. Vallejo landed 88 percent of his first serves for the match but won only 47 percent of the points behind his second.
