Daniil Medvedev vs Andrey Rublev — F — Hangzhou Open

Daniil Medvedev claimed the Hangzhou Open title, beating No. 2 seed Andrey Rublev 7-5, 6-4 in the final of the ATP 250 event. The top seed was never broken. Rublev won none of his return games and got to only two break points, both in the second set; Medvedev saved them. Medvedev hit 22 aces to Rublev's four. The opening set stayed on serve until he broke for 6-5 and took it 7-5, and he broke again in the first game of the second set. The points were closer than the scoreline: 68-61 across 1 hour 33 minutes. Rublev, ATP No. 25, has now lost all three of their meetings on record, after the 2023 Dubai final and a US Open quarterfinal later that year. Medvedev dropped one set all week, to Coleman Wong in the quarterfinals.
