Fabian Marozsan and Kyrian Jacquet: Kyrian Jacquet leads 1–0 across 1 recorded meeting.
Kyrian Jacquet did not lose serve on the way to the semifinals of the Hangzhou Open, beating sixth-seeded Fabian Marozsan 7-6(12) 6-4 in the quarterfinals. The 25-year-old Frenchman is ranked ATP No. 107 and has yet to win a tour-level title. The betting market had made Marozsan, the ATP No. 59, a narrow favorite at 55 percent, and the two had no prior meetings on record. Neither player faced a break point in the opening set, which Jacquet took in a tiebreak that ran to 14-12. All five break points of the match arrived in the second. Jacquet broke in game five for 3-2, and Marozsan converted none of the three chances he had, leaving Jacquet with 11 holds from 11 service games. Five double faults never cost him one of them. Marozsan, who had needed three sets to get past Taro Daniel in the round of 16, lost by three points overall, 80-77. Jacquet had already beaten Tomas Martin Etcheverry, ranked ATP No. 30, in the round of 16 — the highest-ranked opponent on his record, with Marozsan now second on that list. He began the season at ATP No. 136 and is into the last four at a hard-court 250.
