Rocha is 39 places better off than a year ago and still without a tour-level win this season.
The 22-year-old from Porto saved four match points, erased 11 of 14 break points and out-aced Pedro Martinez 5-0 Monday at his home Estoril Open, and still lost in straight sets while creating two break chances all match. That 5-7, 5-7 defeat drops him to 0-3 at tour level in 2026.
His climb ran through the Challenger circuit — a title and a Santiago final, per tour coverage — from ATP No. 157 in January to April's career-high No. 118.

Henrique Rocha is a 22-year-old right-hander out of Porto who took the slow route up: into the Portuguese Tennis Federation program at 15, a junior peak of No. 26, then an ATP main-draw debut as a qualifier at home in Estoril in 2023. The following year he won his first Challenger title in Murcia over Nikoloz Basilashvili, joining Nuno Marques as the only Portuguese teenagers to take one since 1978.
He is an aggressive baseliner without a bailout serve, so the margins come from return games and from distance rather than free points, as evidenced by a career 67.5 percent of service games held against 34.4 percent of return points won and an ace rate under seven. The winners-to-errors ratio sits below even. Long matches suit him better than short ones.
The biggest win on his record came in 2024 Davis Cup play against Norway, over then-No. 9 Casper Ruud, and the biggest week came a year later at the French Open, where he qualified and then went the distance twice — past Basilashvili on a 7-6(0) opener and a 7-6(9) third set, then back from two sets down against then-No. 19 Jakub Mensik to reach the third round. He was the youngest Portuguese man to play a Grand Slam match since Marques at 1991 Roland Garros. Alexander Bublik ended the run.
As of September 2026 the arc has stalled without collapsing: ATP No. 120 on 513 points, 50 places better than a year ago and two off the career high he set in April 2026, though the season reads 0-3 at tour level with holds down to 52.6 percent. The last of those was the Estoril Open round of 32 against Pedro Martinez. Two things remain outstanding: a first tour-level title, and a first win of 2026.
Henrique Rocha's latest available published ATP singles ranking is No. 106 as of Oct 6, 2026 with 588 ATP Points.
Henrique Rocha has a 0–3 win-loss record in 2026 across the Grand Slam, Masters/1000, 500 and 250 events covered by The Drop Shot.
Henrique Rocha lost to Pedro Martinez 5-7 5-7 in the round of 32 at the Estoril Open on Jul 20, 2026. This is the latest result available in the 2026 records.
