·500·HardTatiana Prozorova defeated Xinyu Wang 3-6, 7-5, 6-4 — Singapore Tennis Open 2026 Quarterfinal.
Xinyu Wang and Tatiana Prozorova: Tatiana Prozorova leads 1–0 across 1 recorded meeting.
Tatiana Prozorova, ranked WTA No. 165, reached the Singapore Tennis Open semifinals by beating No. 40 Xinyu Wang in a quarterfinal that ran three hours. The betting market had made Wang the favorite at 62 percent, and the two had no prior meetings on record. Wang broke in game five of the opening set for 3-2 and took it 6-3. The second produced eight breaks of serve before Prozorova claimed it 7-5. Her serve gave her more to work with in the third: she won 80 percent of her first-serve points and hit both of her aces in that set, and she broke in game seven for 4-3. Wang had three break points in the decider and converted none of them, and she saved two match points before the match ended 6-4. Prozorova, 22, has now lost the opening set in each of her three matches this week and won all three in three sets, over Sofia Costoulas in the round of 32 and Alexandra Eala in the round of 16. Nothing separated the players here beyond the margins: 112 points to 109 across the three hours.
