Jessica Pegula defeated Iva Jovic 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 — Wimbledon 2026 R16.
Jessica Pegula and Iva Jovic: Jessica Pegula leads 3–0 across 3 recorded meetings.
Six breaks across the first nine games left Pegula on the wrong end of a 4-6 opener, winning just 33% of first-serve points. Then the serve showed up. Jessica Pegula won 82% of first-serve points in the second set and 75% in the third, while the return kept squeezing — Iva Jovic held only 5 of 13 service games all match, and Pegula converted both break points she saw in the 6-1 decider of a 4-6 6-3 6-1 win. That's the first set the No. 4 seed has dropped at Wimbledon, and it makes her 3-0 against Jovic on record — Dubai, Charleston, and now a first meeting on grass.
