Coco Gauff defeated Jessica Pegula 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 in the Quarterfinal of the Wimbledon 2026.
Down a set for the second straight match, Coco Gauff flipped this one on return, going 5-for-5 on break points while Jessica Pegula converted 3 of 7. The opener was Gauff's own giveaway — 17 unforced errors and four double faults against a six-error set from Pegula. Then the misses dried up. Gauff won 84% of first-serve points in the second set and broke in game 8 for 5-3; when Pegula broke for 3-3 in game 6 of the decider, Gauff broke back immediately in game 7 and again in game 9 to close it out. It's her fourth consecutive three-setter at Wimbledon, and a semifinal against WTA No. 11 Karolina Muchova comes next.
Jessica Pegula: 2 aces, 15 winners, 68% first serves, 2 double faults, 3/7 break points. Coco Gauff: 7 aces, 25 winners, 63% first serves, 7 double faults, 5/5 break points.
