Alexandra Eala defeated Oleksandra Oliynykova 6-1, 6-4 — US Open 2026 R64.
Oleksandra Oliynykova and Alexandra Eala are level at 1–1 across 2 recorded meetings.
Zero winners in an opening set is a rough way to meet a seed's return game, and Oliynykova never got the ground back, broken five times from seven chances as Eala closed with 19 winners to six. The one push from the 46th-ranked Ukrainian, a break in game 6 of the second for 3-3, was answered in game 7 for 4-3. Sixty-three minutes, two rounds, no set dropped; Iva Jovic, the No. 14, is next.
