MastersHard·Final·2h 28mAlejandro Davidovich Fokina defeated Rafael Jodar 1-6, 7(7)-6(5), 6-4 — Shanghai Masters 2026 Final.
Alejandro Davidovich Fokina and Rafael Jodar: Alejandro Davidovich Fokina leads 1–0 across 1 recorded meeting.
Alejandro Davidovich Fokina is the Shanghai Masters champion after he beat Rafael Jodar in the final. Davidovich Fokina, the 25th seed and ATP No. 26, won as the underdog. The betting market had made the 12th-seeded Jodar a slight favourite at 55 percent. It is his first Masters 1000 title in records dating to 2017. His previous best finishes at that level were semifinals at other Masters events. The final was close on points, and Davidovich Fokina won fewer of them, 105 to Jodar's 108. Jodar hit 38 winners to his 17 and created more break chances, but converted only four of 12. Davidovich Fokina broke three times from seven chances. Earlier in the week, he won deciding-set tiebreaks against Tiafoe and Hurkacz. In the semifinals, he came from a set down to beat ATP No. 2 Alexander Zverev. That is the highest-ranked win in his recorded results. Jodar is a 20-year-old Spaniard who started the season at ATP No. 165. He was ATP No. 13 going into the final and leaves Shanghai as runner-up.
