Four hours minus five minutes, three tiebreaks, and the match still came down to whose serve cracked first — and it was Gabriel Diallo's. Lorenzo Sonego trailed the break-point efficiency battle badly (Diallo converted 2 of 3, Sonego just 2 of 6), but he flipped the math in the decider, breaking in games 2 and 6 to close 6-2 after Diallo's first-serve return dried up to 56% won in the fifth. Diallo, two days removed from a five-set survival over Bonzi that ended in a retirement, faded late: he stacked 38 unforced errors to Sonego's 27 and hit six double faults, four of them in the fourth set alone.
