Yunchaokete Bu and Kamil Majchrzak: Yunchaokete Bu leads 1–0 across 1 recorded meeting.
Yunchaokete Bu reached the Hangzhou Open quarterfinals by beating eighth seed Kamil Majchrzak in a round of 16 that took two hours and 54 minutes. Bu is ranked ATP No. 111; Majchrzak came in at ATP No. 73, and the betting market gave him the narrow edge at 55%. The two had no prior meetings on record. For two sets there was little between them. Bu broke in game 3 of the opener, Majchrzak broke back in game 6, and Bu took the tiebreak that followed 7-4. The second set produced no break of serve at all, and Majchrzak claimed its tiebreak to level the match. The deciding set was the one passage either player controlled. Bu broke in the opening game, broke again in game 3 for 3-0 and closed it out 6-2. Across the match he converted three of his six break points to Majchrzak's one of six, and he was broken only once in 16 service games — that sixth game of the first set. The official stat feed also credits Majchrzak with one match point saved. Bu, a 24-year-old from Xinjiang, opened the week with a straight-sets win over Michael Zheng and is now into the last eight at an ATP event on home soil.
