Sara Bejlek vs Talia Gibson — R128 — Miami Open

Talia Gibson, ranked 27 spots below her opponent at No. 68, ran Sara Bejlek off the court 6-1, 6-0 in 70 minutes, and the second serve told the story: Gibson won 54% of her second-serve points to Bejlek's 18%, a 36-point chasm. Bejlek, the Abu Dhabi finalist three weeks earlier, landed just 37% of first serves and coughed up six double faults, never holding after game three. Gibson, four days removed from an Indian Wells quarterfinal, draws Naomi Osaka next.
