Stefanos Tsitsipas held all 17 of his service games and saved both break points he faced, while Jerome Kym converted neither of his two chances, both arriving in the third set, and gave up serve just once in 17 tries. The lone break landed in game 5 of the opener, for 3-2. Everything else stayed on serve. Kym, a 23-year-old Swiss at his home event, out-aced Tsitsipas 10-7 and won 78 percent of first-serve points to the Greek's 79, but took just 49 percent behind the second serve to Tsitsipas's 66, the gap that swung a 110-104 points count. Tsitsipas, the ATP No. 85 whose season began at No. 34, closed it in a third-set tiebreak 14 hours, 14 minutes after first ball and moves on to a quarterfinal at the Swiss Open Gstaad.
