Alycia Parks and Sara Bejlek: Sara Bejlek leads 1–0 across 1 recorded meeting.
Third-seeded Sara Bejlek reached the Guadalajara Open quarterfinals with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Alycia Parks in 76 minutes. A first-round bye meant this was the opening match of the week for the WTA No. 30, and her first on hard courts since a first-round loss at the US Open. Before that she beat Aryna Sabalenka on the way to the Cincinnati semifinals. Parks, the WTA No. 79, had needed a deciding set to get past Varvara Lepchenko in the previous round. She earned one break point against Bejlek all match and converted it for 3-3 in the first set. Bejlek broke in game 7 and again in game 10 to take the opener, then broke for 4-3 in game 7 of the second and closed it out. Parks double-faulted eight times, six of them in the opening set, and held six of her nine service games to Bejlek's eight of nine.
