·500·HardCristina Bucsa defeated Sara Bejlek 6-0, 6-4 — Guadalajara Open 2026 Quarterfinal.
Cristina Bucsa and Sara Bejlek: Cristina Bucsa leads 2–0 across 2 recorded meetings.
Cristina Bucsa reached the Guadalajara Open semifinals by beating third seed Sara Bejlek 6-0, 6-4 in 65 minutes. Bucsa, the sixth seed at WTA No. 44, was the outsider: the betting market made Bejlek, ranked WTA No. 28, a 66 percent favorite. Bejlek did not win a game in the opening set. Bucsa broke in game 2 and again in game 4, converting three of four break points, and Bejlek won 18 percent of her first-serve points across the set. Bejlek broke to open the second, her only break of the match, and the next break did not arrive until game 6, when Bucsa levelled at 3-3. Bucsa broke again in game 10 to close it. That gives Bucsa both meetings on record, after their US Open first-round match in August. She has not dropped a set this week, including an earlier win over Bianca Andreescu.
