Emma Navarro defeated Shuai Zhang 2-6, 7(7)-6(5), 6-2 — Internationaux de Strasbourg 2026 Quarterfinal.
Shuai Zhang and Emma Navarro: Shuai Zhang leads 3–1 across 4 recorded meetings.
The match turned on the second-set tiebreak. After dropping the opener 6-2, Navarro edged a 7-5 breaker to level the four-hour-plus marathon, then ran away with the decider 6-2 against Shuai Zhang. The serve numbers tell the story despite a wobbly 44% first-serve rate and 10 double faults: Navarro still won 63% of her first-serve points to Zhang's 51%, and her 49% return haul on Zhang's first ball cracked open the third. It snaps a 3-1 H2H deficit in their first meeting on clay.
