Xinyu Wang vs Hanne Vandewinkel — R128 — Cincinnati Open

The second serve settled it. Xinyu Wang won 14 of 27 points behind hers while Hanne Vandewinkel managed 10 of 37, or 27 percent, and that gap is how a 4-0 deficit in the opener became five breaks of the Belgian qualifier's serve — the recovery starting in game 5 for 1-4, then consecutive breaks in games 9 and 10. Nine double faults from the other side helped. Vandewinkel did save three match points before Wang shut the door, 1 hour 44 minutes in.
