Valentin Vacherot vs Juan Manuel Cerundolo — R64 — Monte-Carlo Masters

Vacherot lost the first set 7-5 — a late break in game 11 undid earlier breaks of his own — then flipped the match on the strength of his first serve. He won 73% of first-serve points to Cerundolo's 51%, a 22-point gap that turned the second and third sets into a procession: four breaks in set two, two more in set three for a 6-2, 6-1 close. Vacherot's 32 winners to Cerundolo's 17 sealed the first meeting between the pair, setting up Lorenzo Musetti at the Monte-Carlo Masters.
