Frances Tiafoe vs Jakub Mensik — R32 — Miami Open

Tiafoe won this on the few return points he stole, because there weren't many: he converted 0 of 2 break chances and still took two tiebreaks, the third one 15-13 after Mensik couldn't close at 11-11. Mensik fired 22 aces to Tiafoe's six and went 1 of 5 on break points — the lone hold of serve, in game nine of the second set, was the only break of the entire match. He hit 59 winners but bled 48 unforced errors. Tiafoe books a Miami date with Atmane.
