Rebecca Sramkova and Diana Shnaider: Diana Shnaider leads 1–0 across 1 recorded meeting.
Return pressure separated them. Diana Shnaider broke four times from eight chances and held 11 of 12 service games, while Rebecca Sramkova won just 1 of 12 return games — though that lone conversion, in game 10 of the second for 6-4, was enough to force a decider. The No. 15 seed answered with breaks in games 2 and 4 of the third, opening a 4-0 lead she never surrendered. Shnaider closed in 1 hour, 44 minutes, banking a Canadian Open opener three days after her semifinal run at the Washington Open.
