Edas Butvilas defeated Lorenzo Sonego 6-3, 6-1 — Geneva Open 2026 R32.
Lorenzo Sonego and Edas Butvilas: Edas Butvilas leads 1–0 across 1 recorded meeting.
World No. 256 Edas Butvilas flipped a 190-spot ranking gap on the strength of his return, converting four of six break points while Lorenzo Sonego went 0-for-4 on his own chances. The qualifier-level Lithuanian saved all four break points he faced and won 76% of his first-serve points, and Sonego's 24 unforced errors to nine told the rest of the story. In their first meeting — and first on clay — Butvilas needed just 76 minutes to send the Geneva Open No. 66 seed out in the Round of 32.
