Daria Snigur vs Yuliia Starodubtseva — R128 — Cincinnati Open

The return games separated them. Snigur won 62% of first-serve return points to Starodubtseva's 39% and broke four times from nine opportunities, holding eight of her own 10 service games against her opponent's five of nine. The swing that settled it came in game 6 of the second set, a break for 4-2 immediately after Starodubtseva had broken back for 2-3. Playing her first match since a Round-of-32 exit at Wimbledon in July, Snigur needed 1 hour, 35 minutes against an opponent she had no prior meetings on record with.
