Daria Snigur vs Daria Kasatkina — R128 — Madrid Open

Daria Snigur, ranked 23 spots below No. 75 Daria Kasatkina, flipped the favourite in their first career meeting by surviving a 15-13 third-set tiebreak. Snigur won just 50% of the match's total points (120 of 241) and managed only one ace to Kasatkina's seven, but she leaned on the return: 62% on second-serve returns and 46% on Kasatkina's first serve. The margin was nothing — 15 games apiece, 50% of points each — yet Snigur banked the breakers that counted.
