Diana Shnaider vs Elena Rybakina — R16 — Cincinnati Open

The serve settled it. Rybakina faced seven break points and saved every one, holding all nine of her service games behind seven aces and 82 percent of first-serve points won, while Shnaider converted none of her chances. The break in game 3 for 2-1 in the second was the only separation the No. 2 seed needed, and 1h 26m later she was into the quarterfinals with no set dropped this week — six days after losing the Canadian Open final.
