Elena Rybakina defeated Leylah Fernandez 6(5)-7(7), 6-4, 7(8)-6(6) — Women's Stuttgart Open 2026 Quarterfinal.
Elena Rybakina and Leylah Fernandez are level at 2–2 across 4 recorded meetings.
Down a set and into a third-set tiebreak that included a match point saved, Rybakina leaned on her return to flip this one. The number that separated them: she converted 8 of 16 break points (50%) against just 6 of 28 (21%) for Fernandez, who created chances all night but couldn't cash them — broken to open the door in game 10 of the decider. Rybakina did it through 16 double faults, saving 22 of 28 break points herself in a 180-minute grind that ended at 23:16. She books a clay quarterfinal with Mirra Andreeva.
