Jelena Ostapenko vs Panna Udvardy — R16 — Eastbourne International

Ostapenko lost the first set 6-3, then took the next two off the back of her return game. The turning point came in the second set, where she broke in games two, four and six and converted 3 of 4 break chances after going 0-for in the opener. For the match she cashed 6 of 8 break points (75%) to Udvardy's 3 of 6, and her first-serve points won jumped to 85% in set two after just 64% in set one. Udvardy, who'd needed a first-round retirement to advance, couldn't hold under that pressure.
