Emilio Nava vs Tomas Machac — R128 — Miami Open

Machac lost the opening set against Nava on the back of two breaks in games 6 and 8, then reorganized everything after the turn. He broke to open set two, broke three more times in the third — games 1, 5 and 7 — and rode a first-serve points-won number that climbed to 72% (31 of 43) for the match against Nava's 63%. The unforced-error gap told the rest: 27 to 34. Machac books a second-round meeting with Corentin Moutet.
