Daniil Medvedev defeated Fabian Marozsan 6-2, 6(3)-7(7), 6-4 — Madrid Open 2026 R64.
Daniil Medvedev and Fabian Marozsan: Daniil Medvedev leads 3–0 across 3 recorded meetings.
Medvedev leaned on the shot that betrayed Marozsan — winning 55% of second-serve points to the Hungarian's 37% — to take a tight one at the Madrid Open, 6-2, 6-7(3), 6-4. After Marozsan stole the second on a tiebreak, Medvedev's return tightened the decider, and his 26-to-39 edge in unforced errors did the rest. He moves to 4-0 in the head-to-head, the first meeting on clay.
