Eva Lys and Yuliia Starodubtseva: Yuliia Starodubtseva leads 1–0 across 1 recorded meeting.
The world No. 108 took down No. 77 Eva Lys behind a second serve that simply could not be touched: Yuliia Starodubtseva won 78% of her second-serve points (7 of 9) to Lys's 27% (7 of 26), a 51-point gap that decided the match. The first set was a procession — Starodubtseva broke in games 3, 5 and 7 to take it 6-1.
