Ann Li and Kimberly Birrell: Ann Li leads 2–0 across 2 recorded meetings.
Ann Li won just 39% of her second-serve points — 19 points off Kimberly Birrell's 58% — and still found a way through after dropping the opener 6-4. The flip came in set two: Li climbed to 85% on first serve from 67% in the first, and after five exchanged breaks the set went to a tiebreak she took 7-3. Her 15 aces to Birrell's three carried the rest, an early break in game three of the decider sealing it 6-4. Li, up 2-0 in the head-to-head, books a meeting with Taylah Preston.
