Jiri Lehecka defeated Emilio Nava 7(7)-6(1), 6(8)-7(10), 6-2 in the R64 of the Monte-Carlo Masters 2026.
Three hours and six minutes after he broke in the opening game, Lehecka finally pulled clear of Emilio Nava by leaning on the shot that decided everything: the second serve. The world No. 14 won 59% of his second-serve points to Nava's 41% — an 18-point gap that papered over Nava's 50 winners and let Lehecka absorb a second-set surge that included a saved set point and a match point before it slipped away in the Monte-Carlo tiebreak. Once the third set opened, Lehecka broke three times — games three, five and seven — to close it 6-2. Nava's 56 unforced errors were the through-line. Lehecka, a finalist in Miami a week ago, draws Alejandro Tabilo next.
Jiri Lehecka: 8 aces, 27 winners, 66% first serves, 3 double faults. Emilio Nava: 6 aces, 50 winners, 66% first serves, 5 double faults.
