Ashlyn Krueger and Donna Vekic: Ashlyn Krueger leads 2–0 across 2 recorded meetings.
Ranked 63 spots below her opponent and coughing up 38 unforced errors, Ashlyn Krueger still found the return edge that flipped this one. Down a set, she won 48% of points against the Vekic first serve to 36% the other way, and a break to open the third — game one — proved the separator in the 6-4 finish. Vekic landed 80% of first serves but converted just one of her last seven break chances across sets two and three. Krueger moves to 2-0 against Vekic, this their first meeting on grass.
