That was the first set she had dropped all week, and Kostyuk's lone win in four meetings on record remains a clay-court one. Kostyuk saved five match points before the end, but Swiatek closed inside 2 hours, 3 minutes and books a quarterfinal with then-WTA No. 18 Diana Shnaider.
