Tamara Korpatsch defeated Julia Stusek 6-0, 3-6, 6-3 — Hamburg Open 2026 R16.
Tamara Korpatsch and Julia Stusek: Tamara Korpatsch leads 1–0 across 1 recorded meeting.
Holding serve was the harder job all afternoon. Tamara Korpatsch converted 7 of 12 break points while Julia Stusek, the WTA No. 438 with no prior meetings on record, cashed 5 of 10 and held 36 percent of her service games. The decider produced five breaks in its first seven games, with Korpatsch's in game 7 for 4-3 the one that stuck. Stusek saved one match point, but the No. 5 seed converted her second, 1 hour, 54 minutes in, to book a quarterfinal at the MSC Hamburg Ladies Open — a deciding set needed for the second straight round.
