McCartney Kessler defeated Cadence Brace 6-3, 6-3 — Canadian Open 2026 R128.
McCartney Kessler and Cadence Brace: McCartney Kessler leads 1–0 across 1 recorded meeting.
The break-point ledger ran one direction. McCartney Kessler converted 3 of 7 chances while erasing all three she faced, and the early strikes did the sorting — a break in game 1 of the opener, another in game 4 for 3-1 in the second — as wild card Cadence Brace went 0-for-3 on her own looks. The win, closed in 1 hour, 24 minutes, stops a two-match slide for the WTA No. 47 and opens her Canadian Open account.
