Rafael Jodar defeated Lorenzo Musetti 1-6, 6-1, 6-4 — Washington Open 2026 Quarterfinal.
Rafael Jodar and Lorenzo Musetti: Rafael Jodar leads 2–0 across 2 recorded meetings.
For a set, the first-serve math ran all one way. Musetti banked 80 percent of first-serve points and broke Rafael Jodar three times in the opener — the first set the ATP No. 25 had dropped all week. Then the terms reversed. Jodar broke in game 2 and again in game 4 of the second for 4-0 as the No. 4 seed's first-serve points won sagged from 80 to 62 percent, and he never earned a break point the rest of the way. A break in game 5 of the third for 3-2 decided it after 1 hour, 52 minutes, handing Jodar just his second top-15 win on record — after then-ATP No. 8 Alex de Minaur in Madrid — and a semifinal spot in Washington.
