Viktorija Golubic and Diane Parry: Diane Parry leads 1–0 across 1 recorded meeting.
Return games decided this one. Parry converted four of her six break chances and turned back eight of the eleven she faced, while Golubic saved just one of six and held only 6 of her 10 service games. The break in game 10 of the opener, for 5-5, wiped out the 3-0 start the Swiss had built. Two days after the Monterrey title, it is a sixth straight win for Parry and a second-round place; Golubic leaves after 1h 43m.
