Talia Gibson vs Francesca Jones — R32 — Nottingham Open

Three hours and five minutes, 14 breaks of serve between them, and Talia Gibson needed a tiebreak to close it. The serving never settled — Gibson converted just 2 of 10 break points in the deciding set, Francesca Jones 2 of 4, and the third set alone changed hands four times before the breaker. Jones was the more efficient on return all match (5 of 10 break points to Gibson's 5 of 16), but it was Gibson holding 73% of first-serve points and 5 aces in the final set that carried her through 7(7)-6(4). The win at the Nottingham Open is her first on grass and books Qinwen Zheng next.
