Arthur Fery defeated Otto Virtanen 5-7, 7(7)-6(3), 6-3, 6-3 — Wimbledon 2026 R64.
Arthur Fery and Otto Virtanen: Arthur Fery leads 1–0 across 1 recorded meeting.
Down the opening set 7-5 to a server who fired 16 aces, Arthur Fery found the return game that decided everything: he converted 3 of 9 break points to Otto Virtanen's lone chance taken, and once the tiebreak went his way in the second, the breaks came in bunches — game five and game nine of the third, game four of the fourth. The gap was in the miss count. Virtanen piled up 45 unforced errors to Fery's 26 across four sets at Wimbledon, the aces cosmetic against a floor that kept collapsing.
