Leylah Fernandez defeated Oksana Selekhmeteva 7-6, 3-6, 6-1 — Miami Open 2026 R64.
Leylah Fernandez and Oksana Selekhmeteva: Leylah Fernandez leads 1–0 across 1 recorded meeting.
Two match points came and went before Fernandez finally pulled clear of Selekhmeteva in Miami. The third set was the only clean stretch of an otherwise scrappy afternoon — six breaks across the first two sets, a first-set tiebreak, then Fernandez breaking in games 2 and 6 to run away with it. Neither held serve comfortably; both won under 45% of second-serve points. Pegula awaits.
