Jaime Faria and Lorenzo Musetti: Lorenzo Musetti leads 1–0 across 1 recorded meeting.
Break points were a one-way transaction here: five came up across the match, all five were converted, and Musetti claimed four of them. The 10th seed shut the opener with consecutive breaks in games 11 and 12, and Faria, who won 11 of 29 second-serve points, finished with 29 unforced errors against nine winners. Seventy-five minutes of work puts the Italian into the Cincinnati quarterfinals without a set dropped this week.
