Alexandra Eala defeated Magdalena Frech 6-0, 3-6, 6-4 — Italian Open 2026 R128.
Alexandra Eala and Magdalena Frech: Alexandra Eala leads 1–0 across 1 recorded meeting.
Alexandra Eala took the chances Magdalena Frech didn't, converting 6 of 12 break points to Frech's 3 of 9 in a 6-0, 3-6, 6-4 decider on clay. After bageling the opening set, Eala stalled — dropping serve and the second 6-3 — before the return game decided it: in the third she broke for 5-4 and closed it out, saving 6 of 9 break points across the match to survive Frech's 3 aces and steadier first-strike serve. Their first meeting goes Eala's way.
