Novak Djokovic vs Thiago Agustin Tirante — R64 — Cincinnati Open

Third-seeded and a 75 percent pick with the betting market, Djokovic is out of the Cincinnati Open in the round of 64. All seven of his double faults landed in the second set, which he closed out with 22 unforced errors. Tirante answered with 13 aces and 40 winners, an odd line for a clay-built grinder from La Plata who has never served big, and he needed only two of his 15 break points — the last of them in game 9 of the third for 5-4. Two hours and 37 minutes of it left the 25-year-old Argentine holding the highest-ranked win on his record, past the No. 9 Shelton he beat in April.
