Gabriel Diallo defeated Tomas Martin Etcheverry 6(11)-7(13), 6-3, 6-2 — Eastbourne International 2026 R16.
Gabriel Diallo and Tomas Martin Etcheverry: Gabriel Diallo leads 3–0 across 3 recorded meetings.
Gabriel Diallo, ranked 84th, took the only break points that mattered in this one: 3 of 12 converted against an Etcheverry return game that never earned a look outside set three. After dropping a 13-11 first-set tiebreak, Diallo turned the screws on the favourite's serve — Etcheverry's first-serve points-won cratered from 66% in set one to 44% in the decider, and Diallo broke twice early in each of the final two sets. He's now 3-0 in the head-to-head and through to the quarterfinals at Eastbourne.
