Gauff dropped the opening set 6-3 and trailed early in the third before flipping the match behind a stat she'd lost it on: the second serve. Cocciaretto won 46% of her second-serve points to Gauff's 31%, but the American's break of the Italian in game 3 of the decider — after Cocciaretto had broken first in game 2 — reset the night.
