Linda Noskova vs Viktorija Golubic — R32 — China Open

Fifth seed Linda Noskova, last year's runner-up in Beijing, reached the China Open round of 16 with a 55-minute win over Viktorija Golubic. Golubic, the WTA No. 67 from Switzerland, had won two matches to get this far. The second went to three sets against Peyton Stearns. Noskova held all eight of her service games. In the opening set, she won every point behind her first serve and hit five of her eight aces. She also broke twice in that set without facing a break point. Golubic's three break points all came in the second set, and Noskova saved each one. Noskova broke in the fourth and sixth games of that set for leads of 3-1 and 5-1. She finished the match having converted four of her five break points.
