Jenson Brooksby vs Emilio Nava — R128 — Madrid Open

Emilio Nava, ranked No. 116, knocked out world No. 61 Jenson Brooksby 6-3, 7-5 in their first career meeting, the serve doing the heavy lifting. Nava won 33 of 44 first-serve points (75%) to Brooksby's 54%, and the rest followed from there — eight aces to none, and a 25-to-9 edge in winners. Brooksby never solved the first ball, taking just 32% of those return points, and a single break in each set was enough to send the favourite out in the opener.
