Eva Lys defeated Katie Boulter 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 — Italian Open 2026 R128.
Katie Boulter and Eva Lys: Eva Lys leads 1–0 across 1 recorded meeting.
World No. 80 Eva Lys flipped the form chart against No. 60 Katie Boulter, and the margin lived on the second serve: Lys won 41% of those points to Boulter's 31%, and 69% of her second-serve return points. That cushion held even as Lys sprayed eight double faults to Boulter's three. Both broke at will — eight of 15 conversions for Boulter, eight of 16 for Lys — but the German took the decider 6-4 after dropping the second 6-3. It's 2-0 in the H2H, the first meeting on clay.
